This is the 20th year of the federally funded Operation Land, Air and Speed and the fourth one already conducted this year. Troopers will saturate I-95, I-81 and several others. The goal is to promote safety behind the wheel and remind people to follow rules of the road. Always buckle up, drive the speed limit and be cautious in work zones.
Last month alone, more than 1,000 people were tagged with a summons or arrested as part of the event.
